Flights to St. Thomas will land at one of the two major airports of the Virgin Islands: the Cyril E. King Airport. Both non-stop and connecting flights from the US mainland land here, as well as local inter-island flights. The Cyril E. King Airport runs 24 hours a day, but the terminals are only open between the hours of 6 a.m. and 11 p.m. Major airlines offering service to St. Thomas are: American Airlines, Continental Airlines, Delta Airlines, United Airlines, and US Airways. Only American and US Airways offer non-stop St. Thomas flights. St. Thomas is a tropical Caribbean paradise; however, that means that it does get quite hot during the summer months. Because of this, prime visiting seasons are fall and winter, which happen to coincide with the major school holidays.
